Fabulous Wednesday Find {Shop Bop Wedding Boutique}
weddingsAnyone who knows me, knows I know my way around an online store, as a matter of fact I’m not too shabby at offline shopping either… The best news of the month was Shop Bop opening their wedding boutique! They’re stocking everything from bridal gowns to gifts for your bridesmaids with stock from Marchesa, Kate Spade, Valentino and Phillip Lim. it’s a decadent place to outfit your bridal style! And having purchased from Shop Bop in the past (guilty as charged), I know they are super fast at shipping, expect your purchase to arrive in around 3 days, sometimes less!
Classic {chocolate} Box
inspiration boards, weddingsThe Alannah Rose Chocolate Box wedding invitation holds a special place in my heart- it was one of our first designs and I believe it stands the test of time! It brings together the elegant stripes, a flair of vintage lace and one of my favourite colour combinations- brown and blue. Today’s board is the elegant classic take on this style- classic chocolate cakes (but with a twist of cocoa monograms), a classic ballgown (with sweet butterflies attached) a classic bouquet (with beautiful blue ribbon) and a classic pearl necklace (with a sparkling clasp).

Fabulous Sunday Find {pretty garlands}
partiesYou may have noticed the Sunday Finds have been MIA. Well, here we are back with a fabulous find on a Sunday, but keep your eye out, they might pop up on any day now, Wednesday, Monday, whichever works!
One of my favourite finds for Alannah’s rainbow party was this amazing Snowball Wool. We strung masses of it together and it took on the form of a fluffy rainbow garland- perfect for adorning the dessert table and strung from the rafters over where our six year old guests ate their treats. The best part? You can find it at Lincraft yourself for about $3.50 for 25 yards!
Alannah Rose Wedding – Lexi and Will {rose tapestry wedding invitation} Part 2
alannah rose weddings, weddingsHere we are back with more photo’s from Lexi and Will’s wedding taken by their photographer Dan O’Day. “We had some breathtaking shots taken around the rural landscape of Gundaroo. The colours were amazingly vivid, with a late afternoon storm providing a gorgeous backdrop.”
“Will and I wanted our day to be unique, personal and memorable – for both ourselves and the guests. Many hours were spent creating handmade pinwheels (for our non traditional take on a seating chart) paper poms and bunting to brighten the reception. We opted for a Wedding Tree instead of a guest book, so our friends and family could “leaf” their thumb print and sign their name!”
Alannah Rose Wedding – Lexi and Will {rose tapestry wedding invitation}
alannah rose weddings, weddingsToday’s client wedding is the gorgeous summer time celebration of Lexi and Will. Lexi and Will held their wedding outside Canberra in November last year and used the Alannah Rose Lime Tapestry wedding invitation suite to begin their day! Today’s wedding will be in two parts- there are so many lovely photos to show!
“I’d describe our wedding as Springtime Shabby Chic – we carried the colours of spring green, latte, ivory and soft pastels throughout the wedding, with eclectic and sweet touches.” says Lexi. The couple were married at ‘Grazing’, Gundaroo NSW “The ceremony was held in the gardens with the reception in the stone stable/garden marquee“
For her wedding day, Lexi wore a Demetrios dress purchased from Nouveau Riche,. She chose Alan Pinkus shoes as her “Something Blue”. “I loved seeing the smile on my soon to be husbands face as I walked down the aisle, and a moment we stole alone during our location photos, where we finally had a moment to stop and say “wow, we really did this.. we’re married!“”
“Take a deep breath, don’t let little things trouble you and have fun! The day will pass by so quickly, and weddings filled with smiles and laughter always make the most wonderful memories. Little things may not go 100% according to plan (like the weather!) but in the big picture, it doesn’t matter.”
